What’s a time you followed your gut and it turned out to be exactly right?
There have been many times where listening to my gut instinct has led me to a more peaceful resolution.
The latest was that of running for a political office. Although my reasons for running were that of making a difference, being honest and transparent as well as working for the citizens, that is not what the local machine wants.
I felt like I was in the middle school days again. I was physically, mentally and emotionally spent by the time I announced to others that I would not be continuing on in that general direction.
Once I made my announcement, I felt sudden relief. I felt at peace. I felt that my prayers were answered by the gut instinct that I received.
Where I stand today……I still believe that God has plans for me. He is guiding me in a direction that I am unaware. It will be something big. Which makes me uncomfortable but by and through him, I will succeed.
The moral of this….always go with your gut instinct. Feelings can take you in directions that is not best for you but your gut will never lead you astray.
