Start tomorrow with quiet

Today has been a day that I needed to hear the rustling of leaves, crackling of a bonfire or the waves as they beat against the sand. Not a word needed to be spoken. I just needed to be. Racing thoughts, voices, opinions and planning for a new week have been challenging today say the least.

I’m sure it’s the enemy trying to find space. Trying to squeeze into a place that he has been evicted from. I mean it’s Sunday. Church was on fire. There’s no rest for the wicked. That’s for sure.

So for tomorrow, I’m going to wake up, find something positive to focus on and live the day like no other. I mean, what if your number is drawn and your family is left with your negativity, your unhappiness and bitterness? Do you really want that to be your legacy? You may not have written any best seller books, performed any grammy nominated songs, won any Olympic medals or climbed to the top of any corporate ladders but, what if? What if you left behind something that no amount of money can buy? What if your legacy was about your kindness, gentleness and your love for helping others?

What if just for the day, you tell yourself that it’s ok to not be ok but you still show up for someone else?
