Hello World!

I have been a journaling activist for many years. One could question my tenure, my accomplishments and even the title itself.

I will share those answers with you now. I have no official schooling on the subject of journalism yet my accomplishments, for me at least, are much more meaningful. I’ve never been paid for “my two cents”. Those old enough to know the meaning behind that and those that know me personally, understand.

Journaling has always been a way to quiet my mind. A way to release the thoughts and emotions that are often sporadic and too complicated to explain to anyone but my own pen and paper. Yes I still do a lot of things the old school way. Journaling this way, reminds me of a time when life was less complicated. People were kinder and technology was only a futuristic way of life.

I have no great feats in life probably by today’s standards. I am proud though of what I’ve accomplished thus far and am looking forward to adding to my personal developmental skills.

When I think of personal growth, I reflect on that of an infant learning to walk.  The beginning of the unknown is filled with many emotions. Taking the first step is scary but I believe each and every person owes it to themselves the challenge of being better than they were the day before.

Today is the day to look forward to a new you.
